Bertha Serna Morales

Bertha A. Serna Morales, age 57, of Hammond, Indiana passed away surrounded by family on April 23, 2022. She was born on June 22, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Alejandro and Maria (nee Mendez) Morales, and grew up in the South Chicago neighborhood. Loving mother to Alberto C. Serna and the late, Diego M. Serna; kind sister to Alex Morales, the late Adalberto “Beto” Morales, Sylvia (Raul) Rodriguez, Rosa (Mario) Castenada, Jose (Yolanda) Mendez Morales, Gloria Morales, and Elia (Ceaser) Arenas; and dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Bertha was a talented nail technician and enjoyed music, dancing and cooking. She was very outgoing, warm, and welcoming to all who knew her. We will remember her distinctive laugh and beautiful smile.
