Gerardo Cabrales, a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, has passed away at the age of 52. He was born on November 19th, 1970 and left this world on June 7th, 2023. Gerardo's love for life was truly infectious, and he will be remembered for his vibrant personality that lit up every room he walked into.
Gerardo had a passion for exploration and trying new things. He loved to travel but one of his favorite places was Las Vegas. Gerardo enjoyed playing pool and trying different foods. He was also an avid gamer, spending countless hours playing the online game World of Warcraft. Gerardo found great joy in the camaraderie and adventure that D&D brought him and his friends.
Family was everything to Gerardo, and he cherished the special moments spent with his siblings: Raul (Angela) Cabrales, Hector (Hilia) Cabrales, Laura (Carlos) Quinones, Oscar (Melissa) Cabrales, and Rachel (Joseph) Arias-Tripp. Gerardo took pride in being a loving uncle to Cecilia, Mariah, Maya, Raul Jr., and many more. He was a devoted son to his parents Gerardo C. and the late Rachel Cabrales.
Gerardo will be warmly remembered by his godchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were blessed to have known him.
In his passing, we honor Gerardo for the life he lived fully; for his passion with which he approached each day and every new experience; for the kind heartedness he gave selflessly; for the love he shared wholeheartedly. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Rest well Gerardo Cabrales until we meet again.
