Ignacio C. Arceo

Ignacio C. Arceo, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, departed this life peacefully at home on the East of Chicago on February 11, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on August 12, 1953, in Mexico, Ignacio lived a life filled with love, family, and a commitment to those around him.

Ignacio is survived by his beloved wife Maria del Refugio Arceo, with whom he shared countless joyful moments and experiences. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and support. He was the proud father of Miguel (Marcelina) Arceo, Ignacio (Lilliana Alvarez) Arceo Jr., Marilu (Benjamin) Alvarez and Salvador Arceo, who will cherish the values and lessons he instilled in them throughout their lives. As a grandfather, Ignacio had the privilege of watching his grandchildren – Noah Arceo, Oliver Arceo, Leonardo Arceo, Mia Alvarez, Ariel Alvarez and Benjamin Alvarez Jr. – grow and thrive. His love for them was boundless, and he enjoyed sharing stories and creating memories that they will hold dear.

In addition to his immediate family, Ignacio is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Angelina, Consuelo, Gloria, and Evelio. They shared a lifelong bond that brought comfort and strength to one another throughout the years.

Ignacio is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Maria Guadalupe Arceo, and his siblings Amelia, Juan, Maria and Eleopoldo, each of whom left a lasting impact on his life and character. The legacy of Ignacio's kindness and dedication to family will continue to resonate through his loved ones.

Ignacio C. Arceo, un amoroso esposo, padre, abuelo y hermano, dejó esta vida pacíficamente en su casa en el este de Chicago el 11 de febrero de 2025, a la edad de 71 años. Nacido el 12 de agosto de 1953 en México, Ignacio vivió una vida llena de amor, familia y compromiso con quienes lo rodeaban.

A Ignacio le sobrevive su amada esposa María del Refugio Arceo, con quien compartió innumerables momentos y experiencias alegres. Juntos formaron una familia llena de amor y apoyo. Fue el orgulloso padre de Miguel (Marcelina) Arceo, Ignacio (Lilliana Alvarez) Arceo Jr., Marilu (Benjamin) Alvarez y Salvador Arceo, quienes apreciarán los valores y lecciones que les inculcó a lo largo de sus vidas. Como abuelo, Ignacio tuvo el privilegio de ver crecer y prosperar a sus nietos: Noah Arceo, Oliver Arceo, Leonardo Arceo, Mia Alvarez, Ariel Alvarez y Benjamin Alvarez Jr. Su amor por ellos era ilimitado y disfrutaba compartir historias y crear recuerdos que ellos apreciarían.

Además de su familia inmediata, Ignacio es recordado con cariño por sus hermanos Angelina, Consuelo, Gloria y Evelio. Compartieron un vínculo de por vida que les brindó consuelo y fortaleza mutuamente a lo largo de los años.

A Ignacio le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Esteban y Maria Guadalupe Arceo, y sus hermanos Amelia, Juan, Maria y Eleopoldo, cada uno de los cuales dejó un impacto duradero en su vida y carácter.
